    Lo que la gente cree

You can buy Argentine citizenship now, at a set price

    Lo que es cierto ahora

The government announced amounts for a citizenship-by-investment programme on 2 October 2026. We found no published rule that sets them, so we do not show them here.

As of 7 October 2026, the programme was not accepting applications, and no exact opening date had been announced. No official agent has been appointed, as far as published sources show.

The route rests on , which the courts are disputing. One court has already declared the investment ground invalid in its own case.

Paying does not guarantee citizenship. Do not send money to anyone who promises citizenship through this route.

Until the Supreme Court decides, which authority grants citizenship is contested. Talk to a lawyer before you file.

The court revoked a lower court's refusal. It held that a person's migration category does not decide whether they meet the residence requirement for citizenship.

Its effect beyond that case is contested. One view is that can no longer grant citizenship. Another is that the ruling binds only that case, and the decree still applies to everyone else.

Other courts have set parts of the decree aside in individual cases. The decree's migration rules are still being applied.

Applications already in court before the decree stay in that court, under the old rules.
