In Argentina she was known as Catalina Boyle. In 1894 she founded the Colegio Inglés of San Martín, in Buenos Aires province, which was later renamed San Patricio. Murray notes that the school was open from the start to pupils of any origin or religion, one of the cases the research records of Irish schools open to all faiths. She died on 27 October 1941.
Her school belongs to a thread of Irish teachers and schools, from Lobos to San Martín, that the research describes as central to the community. A caution for readers: the Irish Emigrant Support Programme lists grants to a "Colegio San Patricio" in 2024 and 2025 without naming its town, and the research thinks that school is more likely the Pallottine one in Mercedes than Boyle's. Until the embassy confirms which school it is, the two should not be assumed to be the same.
