Status: Needs checkingThe Santa Cruz church in San Cristóbal is the base of the Passionist congregation, which is of Irish origin. Families of the disappeared began meeting there in June 1977, and on 8 December 1977 Mary Ponce de Bianco, Esther Ballestrino de Careaga and Alice Domon were among those abducted as they left the church. The Argentine Foreign Ministry's 2017 exhibition catalogue includes a photograph of the first Santa Cruz chapel, the old tin chapel of 1883. Wikipedia adds that the church was built between 1881 and 1894 to a design by Edwin Merry, is a national historic monument and runs a school founded by Irish Passionists; those details need a second source.
