The Hurling Club traces its roots to 1922 and the founding of the Irish Hurling Federation of Argentina. Hurling was played regularly until the 1940s, when hurleys could no longer be imported, and the club still lists it among its sports alongside hockey, rugby and Gaelic football. Its men's and women's Gaelic football teams play weekly, and the club sent teams to the GAA World Games in 2015 (Abu Dhabi, where Argentina won the Men's Shield), 2016 (Dublin), 2019 (Waterford) and 2023 (Derry).
La Nación's centenary feature reported about 1,700 members, many not of Irish descent, main grounds opened on 25 May 1948, an annex with a regulation 150-metre Gaelic football pitch, rugby played since 1941 and a centenary book. Its president, Gastón López Soler, is the first without an Irish surname. The club celebrates St Patrick's Day and has direct ties with the Embassy of Ireland. Ulster GAA twinned with Argentina in 2018 after a coach from the club visited Tyrone, and Ulster GAA's coach education manager visited in December 2025. The club is at Av. Coronel de San Martín 5415, Hurlingham.
