The Admiral Brown Society in Foxford, Co. Mayo, chaired by Margaret Reilly, organises the town's Argentina Day for William Brown's birthday on 22 June, with the support of Mayo County Council. The 2025 edition was on Saturday 21 June. The 2026 edition, on Saturday 20 June, planned prayers at Craggagh Cemetery, Mass at St Michael's, a wreath at the Brown monument, a walk on the Admiral Brown Trail and a reception with music and Argentine tango at the Admiral Brown Hall, with both ambassadors expected. The society works with the Club Irlandés Argentinos, a group of Argentines living in Ireland.
For the 250th anniversary of Brown's birth in 2027, events are planned in Mayo and Argentina, with a hoped-for visit by the ARA Libertad, a documentary, Brown Between Two Seas, and a delegation to Argentina; the last delegation, in 2007, twinned Mayo with Adrogué. Its chair describes Foxford turning blue and white for the annual commemoration.
